H.E. Saif Humaid Al Dhaheri is Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services at the Central Bank of the UAE and Chairman of Al Etihad Payments.

He joined CBUAE’s leadership team from Mubadala Investment Company where he was holding a capacity of a Senior Advisor to the DCEO - Chief Human & Corporate Services & part of Special Project division, with a mandate to establish and manage Mubadala’s train For Work Programme. He also previously was the Executive Vice President in Human Capital & Facility Management with a mandate to oversight mainly on the Human Capital, Organisation, Excellence, Customer Care, and Service Quality.

Prior to Joining Mubadala, H.E. Saif Al Dhaheri worked in Al Hilal Bank as a Chief Operating Officer with a mandate to oversight on Information Technology, Project Management Office, Business Continuity, Operations, Internal Control, Facility Management, Real Estate, & Procurement, and prior to that he worked in Takreer covering a variety of positions.

Hasan Fardan Al Fardan is the Chief Executive Officer of Al Fardan Exchange, a Central Bank of the UAE regulated exchange and remittance house and one of the UAE's longest established financial services businesses. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of the Al Fardan Group. Since taking the helm at Al Fardan Exchange in 2020, he has led the company through a comprehensive digital transformation and organisational restructuring while deepening its regulatory engagement and advancing Emiratisation across the business.

Beyond Al Fardan Exchange, Hasan chairs Burns & Wilcox MENA and RB Jones MENA (DIFC), and serves on the boards of Nebras Open Finance and Al Etihad Payments. At Nebras Open Finance he chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and sits on the Strategy Subcommittee. He is also a Board Member of the Foreign Exchange & Remittance Group, where he chairs the Fintech Subcommittee.

Hasan previously led the legal restructuring of the Al Fardan Group into a sharia compliant ADGM trust structure, and spent seven years at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority managing real estate investments across the Asia Pacific region. He holds an MSc in Real Estate Finance and Investment from Henley Business School, University of Reading.

Marwan joined Emirates NBD as Head of Retail Banking, UAE in 2019. In his current role, Marwan successfully contributed to the delivery of the UAE retail banking business & market share growth by overseeing segments, product & propositions, and retail distribution & sales.

Prior to joining Emirates NBD, Marwan worked for HSBC Bank Middle East Limited where he held various leadership roles in Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) and Commercial Banking Business (CMB).

During his 14-year tenure with HSBC he held several key senior leadership roles which included Managing Director, HSBC Middle East Finance Company, Head of Business Management CMB UAE and Head of Network RBWM MENA. In addition to his last role as the Head of RBWM UAE, where he shaped and executed a successful strategy that led to historic shift towards growth of the business in two consecutive years, after a consistent five-year declining trend.

Marwan previously served as the Chairman of UAE Banks Federation (UBF) Consumer Banking Committee, as well as on the Board of Director of HSBC Middle East Finance Company.

Marwan holds master’s in international business from University of Wollongong Dubai.

Shehzad joined Rakbank in April 2022 as Managing Director of Personal Banking. Prior to that, he worked with Mastercard, where he headed Consumer & Digital Products, Processing, and Sustainability for Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

He is an experienced consumer banking leader with a strong track record of leading businesses and diverse teams across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe with Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, and ANZ. Shehzad has held various leadership roles at global, regional, and country head level.

Shehzad has also served as Head of Consumer Banking for Standard Chartered Bank in the UAE. Through his in-depth understanding of consumer banking, payments, and digital, he played an instrumental role in driving strategic initiatives to reshape the consumer banking business, delivering a significant digital-led transformation.

Shehzad currently serves as the Vice Chair of the UAE Banks Federation (UBF) and Chairman of the Board for Protego, a Digital Insurance aggregator, wholly owned by Rakbank.

Amit Malhotra is a transformational Retail Banker with experience across the Middle East and Southeast Asian markets.

He is currently leading the Retail Banking growth and expansion at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) as the Global Head of Retail Banking. He also holds the positions of Chairman of ADIB Securities, Chairman of ADIMAC, and Board Member of ADIB Capital.

Prior to this, Amit has worked with large multinational banks, including Commercial Bank of Dubai, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, and GE Capital, across diverse geographies in various leadership roles.

Amit has been involved in several startups, including UNO Digital Bank Philippines, Singapore NRI Buzz, and Dial Up Office Services. He was also one of the co-founders of MakeMyTrip.com, a leading Indian unicorn, and is an active investor and advisor to startups.

Amit is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt with extensive experience in leading large-scale transformational projects.

Salem joined the Central Bank of the UAE in Feb 2018, in which he contributed to strategic projects in the financial market infrastructure such as the implementation of the Central Bank Digital Currency Strategy (CBDC), implementation of the National Payment Systems Strategy (NPSS) and implementation of the Card Domestic Scheme project. In addition, Salem’s played a key role in establishing the Central Bank’s Financial Technology (FinTech) Office.

Salem holds a master degree in Business Administration from Abu Dhabi University and a bachelor degree in Finance from California State University- Northridge.

Dr. Tariq Al Hawi is the Chief Operating Officer at Al Etihad Payments, where he brings over twenty years of expertise in digital transformation, technology leadership, and cybersecurity to spearhead innovation within the UAE’s payment systems. He previously played a pivotal role in shaping and modernizing the UAE’s Digital Federal Government initiatives (TDRA) and made substantial contributions to advancing cybersecurity practices at Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (e&).

Throughout his career, Dr. Al Hawi has been instrumental in establishing the UAE Computer Emergency Response Team and developing ground breaking technological solutions, including UAE Pass. He has also led the creation of a world-class Threat Intelligence Operations Center, a Digital Forensics Lab, an advanced User-Experience Lab, and a Center of Digital Innovation.

Dr. Al Hawi holds a Doctorate in Engineering Management & Innovation and a Master’s in Computer Engineering with a focus on Cybersecurity. He is a distinguished alumnus of several prestigious leadership programs, including the Prime Minister Government Executive Leadership Program, the Public Sector Innovation Diploma Program from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation, and the Diplomatic Executive Leadership Program from the Anwar Gargash Academy.
